One of The cheapest places that I found to buy propane. All the little Ma&Pa places are gone now.

They were the only place whole in the whole area, that had Ice Melt in stock. What I was impressed with was a 5 bag limit. So the contractors wouldn't come buy all of it at once. This helps the average person out. There was a Super Nice n Helpful young man working there. I wish I knew his name.

I have been a customer here for quite sometime. It is about what I expect for the most part. Sometimes my orders wrong. I have gotten bad feed several times with claims to replace it and that never happened. And some other issues. My issue comes from the actual in store employees and warehouse manager. He disclosed personal information about my account in front of other customers when he threw a temper tantrum when I asked if he had a comparative feed in to what I was looking for. In addition, the clerk and the store employees led a social media campaign using my private information to review bomb my place of business on Google reviews and social media and this was confirmed because the employees used their real names and the time stamps on those postings show they did it while I was standing there checking out and on the clock. I did report this to management about this unprofessional behavior but they stated they cannot control their employees behavior and what they post. IMO, if an employee is posting on a customers business page using account information from work, it is on Southern States to rectify that problem and discipline those employees. I have cut back my business d

I went to the Southern States store in Sabraton today to look for materials to deal with poison ivy and a rodent problem that my mom has. Alexander, the cashier and plant specialist, was incredibly helpful and took a lot of time to brainstorm with me on possible solutions for both problems. He was very knowledgeable and resourceful, and he is a credit to his workplace.

Out of hay for the second time this winter(that I know of because I've found a more reliable source), with no clues about how long till hay will be in. This has been the story with pretty much any product I've tried to get at this store, for multiple years. Yet another wasted trip to town where I get to drive further out of my way to feed my animals. But at least the drive takes me somewhere that thr employees actually are knowledgeable and care about animals.
